UT President meets with the ECO Cultural Institute President

On 30 December, 2018, Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, UT President visited the ECO Cultural Institute and met with Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, the President of that Institute .

Referring to the membership of UT President at IAU Executive Board , and AUAP Presidency , President Nili Ahmadabadi put forth the idea of Association of ECO Member Universities and voiced the readiness of UT to host the first meeting of such an association.

Explaining about the formation of Council for Science and Culture, offering various scholarships , signing many MoU’s with prestigious universities, Dr. Mazaheri talked about the scope of activities of ECO Cultural Institute.

He further welcomed the idea of the association and mentioned that sport is also one of the instruments for public diplomacy and it will be possible to hold the First Sport Olympiad of Students from ECO member countries.

It is worth nothing that President Nili Ahmadabadi and entourage delegation visited different parts of ECO Cultural Institute as well and were briefed about the activities of this international and regional institution.
