French delegation from the University of Nantes visits Faculty of Geography, UT

In line with Gundishapur international program, an in partnership of the Center for International Studies and Collaboration of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Cooperation and Cultural Activities of the French Embassy in Iran , Dr. Mohamed Maanan and Dr. Laurent Gudet from the University of Nantes, France paid a visit to Faculty of Geography, UT between 23 till 28 September, 2018.

During this visit, they had a meeting with the dean and faculty members and gave two scientific presentations entitled “Wetland Monitoring Networks” and “The Impacts of humans on landscape and birds from national to local scales”. Also, following the joint project, French scientists along with Dr. Hamzeh visited the Anzali wetland, located in the northern part of Iran close to the Caspian Sea, and they decided to prepare a comprehensive plan with the cooperation of several European universities and the support of the UNESCO for supplementary studies on this International wetland.
