Advisor to the Chancellor of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), USA visited University of Tehran

Prof. Michael J. Kowolik, Executive Dean and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Global Engagement from School of Dentistry, Indiana University- Purdue University Indianapolis, USA visited University of Tehran on the 21^st of February, 2018. 

Prof. Kowolik accompanied by Prof. Nekoofar, Director of International Relations, Accreditation and Ranking, Tehran University of Medical Sciences first paid a visit to the UT Negarestan Museum Garden.

There he visited different parts of the Museum and met Prof. Ghahramani, Vice President for International Affairs, University of Tehran. Furthermore, he exchanged ideas on the current program of dual degree between the two universities in the fields of mechanical, electrical and computer engineering and academic cooperation between the two universities.

Evaluating the already-performed successful programs on dual degree between the two universities, it was discussed that both sides could facilitate the current programs and extend this program to other fields in the future. Also , both sides expressed their interest to hold joint workshops or conferences in Europe with the support of IUPUI and UT.  

The meeting was held in the presence of Prof. Zamani, Advisor to the Dean of College of Engineering on International Affairs and Abdolmajid Eskandari, Director General for Office of International Relations, University of Tehran.

After meeting and lunch, Prof. Kowolik visited the Institute of Biophysics and Biochemistry and met Prof. Sabouri and some other faculty members. During the meeting, both sides exchanged ideas on the various areas of academic cooperation.
