President of University of Tehran visited Southern Federal University of Russia

On 23 October, 2017, Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran and accompanying delegation visited Southern Federal University of Russia and met with Prof. Marina Borovskaya, Rector of Southern Federal University of Russia.

Describing the capacities and capabilities of the two university , both sides emphasized on the development of academic cooperation , exchange of professors and students , conducting joint research projects and holding scientific conferences in particular in the area of economics, human sciences, history , Iranology and regional studies.

This meeting was held in the presence of Prof. Mohamamd Bagher Ghahramani, Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Seyed Ahmad Reza Khezri , Advisor to the President and Director General for Office of the President and Public Relations , Prof. Hossein Abbasinejad , Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Prof. Seyed Hassan Zaharei , faculty member of the Department of Russian Language at University of Tehran.

During this meeting, a MoU was signed between the two universities. It is worth noting that the Southern Federal University of Russia is one of the 10 top universities in Russia located in the region of North Caucasia.  The delegation of University of Tehran also paid a visit to the Museum of Historical Changes in the mentioned university.

Southern Federal University abbreviated as SFedU and formerly known as Rostov State University (1957–2006), is a public university in Rostov Oblast, Russia with campuses in Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog.
