The 7th Rectors’ Forum of Iranian and Russian Top Universities

On 17-18 February, 2025, University of Tehran hosted the 7th Rectors’ Forum of Iranian and Russian Top Universities, which was attended by more than 50 heads of universities, representatives of scientific organizations and government agencies of the two countries.

The forum participants were welcomed by Iranian Science Minister H.E. Prof. Simaei Saraf and Russian Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, H.E. Prof. Konstantin Mogilevsky.

During this Forum, participants expressed their views on opportunities and challenges of academic cooperation between Iranian and Russian universities and signed several Mou’s.

The participants also attended Milad Tower dinner ceremony hosted by Prof. Zakani, the mayor of Tehran. They also paid a visit to Isfahan University of Technology and historical sites of Isfahan.

The forum was an important step towards implementing new projects and expanding educational opportunities for students and researchers from both countries. This event is held annually both in Iran and Russia and is considered to be an important network for academic cooperation.
