The Opening Ceremony of the National Lab for Brain Mapping

The National Lab for Brain Mapping was opened at UT (College of Engineering) in the presence of Eng. Eshagh Jahangiri, First Vice President of Islamic Republic of Iran, Prof. Hashemi, Minister of Health and Medical Education, Prof. Farhadi, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Dr. Satari, Vice President for Science and Technology, Prof. Nili Ahmadabadi, President of UT, Prof. Kharazi , Secretariat for Development of Cognitive Technologies and Sciences and a group of faculty members as well as officials at Campus 2, College of Engineering on 2 August, 2016.

The Laboratory will provide necessary infrastructures for imaging and stimulation of brain for cognitive studies and is equipped with advanced technologies to process data, images and signals, as well as virtual reality and cognitive evaluation laboratories.

The Laboratory comprises of various sections including MRI, magnetic brain stimulation, functional infrared spectroscopy, electroencephalography, magneto encephalography, image processing and analysis, and brain stimulation with ultrasound.

It is worth noting that this lab provides facilities to conduct research for the national and international researchers in different areas of cognitive neuroscience and the treatment centers can introduce their patients to this center to have their brains mapped and then to be treated by them.
