H.E. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury

Chancellor of Kabul University, Afghanistan

We have been informed about the sad news of the act of terror against the Kabul University and following that the martyrdom and injuries of a group of esteemed professors and students. This tragic incident has made all of us and especially the academic community very sad.

It is very sad that in the current world and century with all human scientific advances, we painfully witness the fall of ethical and human positions, so that the University as the heart of thought and awareness is attacked by decayed and rotten thoughts.

Condemning this terrorist attack and expressing condolences for this incident, on behalf of the University of Tehran, I would like to express condolence to Your Excellency, the noble nation of Afghanistan, the academic community especially the beloved professors and students and also the families of the victims for this tragic event and I hope they will be granted divine graces.

While it is very difficult to compensate this tragedy, we hope to see the growth and flourishing state of science and knowledge in the academic community in Afghanistan.
