The 1st AUAP Extraordinary Board Meeting was held virtually

On July 14, 2020 at 08:00-09.30 am., Tehran, Iran time, The AUAP Board Meeting led by  Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of AUAP and University of Tehran was held.   

Taking into consideration that the General Conference of AUAP which is due to be held on coming November 2020 and with regard to the spread of covid-19 pandemic , the AUAP administration body  organized  this extraordinary meeting to review  the current issues and policies of AUAP towards the new challenges.

The members discussed the possibility of online organization of the future events and how the member universities can share their experiences and expertise in line with AUAP objectives. In addition, the results of AUAP survey on covid 19 were reviewed. It was also decided to share the new proposals for the amendment of AUAP constitution by sending it to the member universities for any comment. The issue of the election of second vice president and its criteria in agreement with AUAP constitution was also put forth. In this meeting board members expressed their comments on various proposals such as new learning management system, online education, online conferences, elections, and absorption of new member universities and higher education centers to AUAP .  

In summary , the  main agenda of the meeting included the following topics:

• Notes about the election of  the second vice president
• Explanation on the ratification of   the Draft of  New Constitution of AUAP
• Presenting a report on  AUAP COVID - 19 SURVEY
• Discussing the  delivery of online course for AUAP Members
• Performing a  general review on the AUAP activities by 2022
