A UK international scholar presents a speech at IBB, UT
On 15 April, 2019, Dr. Armin Wagner, administrator of Synchrotron station, Diamond, UK attended Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Tehran and presented a speech on macromolecular crystallography method and its application in biology and bio medicines and also the role of structural biology in confronting world challenge of the increase of plastic wastes. The speech was received warmly by both faculty members and students.
Armin Wagner
Armin Wagner is the I23 Principal Beamline Scientist. He joined Diamond in 2005 from the Swiss Light Source where he had worked as a Post-Doc at the MX beamlines.
His research is focused on developments specific to I23, in order to realize its potential as the first in-vacuum MX beamline for long-wavelength crystallography. In addition he is interested in sample delivery techniques for both synchrotron and XFEL experiments.
