The 40th Khwarizmi International Award

The 40th Khwarizmi International Award, to be held in February 2027, invites submissions from researchers, technologists, knowledge-based companies, and research and development (R&D) units. Proposals are accepted in the specialized fields of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Emerging Sciences and Technologies, Biotechnology, Medicine, and Health. Eligible submissions may be presented in the categories of Basic Research, Applied Research, Developmental Research, and Invention & Innovation.

In addition to the main awards, this edition of the festival features a Special Award for projects demonstrating significant national impact in the fields of Water and Energy, as well as recognition of the Outstanding Research and Development Unit of the Year.

The deadline for submission and online registration of proposals is 6 August 2026.
