A Teacher from Beijing International Studies University (BISU) at the UT First Biannual Conference on Contemporary Iranian Studies

The First Biannual Conference on Contemporary Iranian Studies was held by Faculty of World Studies, University of Tehran on 10-11 Nov., 2019. Academics and experts from seventeen countries presented papers at this conference to share about issues and topics related to contemporary Iranian Studies.

Zhang Qian, a teacher from Beijing International Studies University (BISU) was the only Chinese participant who delivered presentation on this conference.

On this conference, she shared her comparative study on view of life and death between Chinese and Iranian people through literary approach. She believed that Iranian and Chinese people share common values in the height of philosophy, in spite of different historical experience, culture and religious beliefs. She called on this two countries to expand continuously and people-to-people contacts, which will definitely contribute to cooperation and exchanges in other fields.

Seventy-four participants from seventeen countries attended this biannual conference. The conference consisted of two parallel sessions which were processed separately in English and Persian.
